Update 31.10.2024: Our colleagues report on Remo: Remo, the big bear ❤️ One gets the feeling that Remo is not at all aware of his size and appearance, quite the opposite. He is rather shy, a bit shy, and cautious. Remo lives on a company premises and shares the yard with Chipsy, the two are a well-coordinated team. Remo does not know life in a household, he has been in this local foster home in Patras since puppyhood. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced home, preferably in the countryside, without much noise and commotion. As a herding dog mix, an enclosed yard would be a dream for him, just like people who are aware of the specialness of herding dog mixes and ideally already have experience with the breed. Update 20.10.23 Our colleagues report on Remo: We got to know Remo last year, he was still fresh in the care of the animal welfare workers. He has developed well there and has become a sturdy, still playful male dog. He is very gentle and friendly, greeted us with enthusiasm without any touch fears. Remo still has so much potential, but one must not forget that he is a herding dog mix and accordingly belongs in dog-experienced hands. We would be so happy if he found his people forever soon. WHAT HAS HAPPENED UNTIL NOW: Remo and his sister lived in a makeshift settlement on the outskirts of Patras. Both dogs were not well treated there and did not have a pleasant life. Fortunately, local animal rescuers managed to get them out of there and bring them to safety. Remo now lives on an enclosed premises with several fellow animals. He is compatible with all and still very playful. It seems that herding genes are in him, so Remo needs a home best away from the city and with an enclosed yard. His new family should be aware of the specialities of herding dogs and ideally already have experience. Remo is already castrated, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, his Mediterranean check was negative in all areas. Additionally, he has an EU pet passport in his possession.

Update 31.10.2024:Unsere Kolleginnen berichten über Remo: Remo, der große Bär❤️ Man hat das Gefühl, Remo ist sich seiner Größe und Erscheinung garnicht bewußt, ganz im Gegenteil. Er ist eher zaghaft, etwas schüchtern und vorsichtig. Remo lebt auf einem Firmengelände und teilt sich dort den Zwinger mit Chipsy, die zwei sind ein eingespieltes Team. Das Leben in einem Haushalt kennt Remo nicht, er ist seit dem Welpenalter in dieser örtlichen Pflegestelle in Patras. Für ihn suchen wir deshalb ein erfahrenes Zuhause am besten ländlich gelegen, ohne viel Lärm und Trubel. Da er ein Herdenschutzhund Mix ist, wäre ein eingezäuntes Grundstück für ihn ein Traum, genauso wie Menschen, die sich der Besonderheit von Herdenschutzhunden bewusst sind und im besten Fall bereits Erfahrung mit der Rasse haben. Er hat sich dort sehr gut entwickelt und ist ein stattlicher, immer noch verspielter Rüde geworden. Er ist sehr sanft und freundlich, hat uns begeistert begrüßt, ohne irgendwelche Berührungsängste. Remo hat noch soviel Potential, allerdings darf man nicht vergessen, dass er ein Herdenschutzhund MIX ist und dementsprechend in hundeerfahrene Hände gehört. Wir würden uns so freuen, wenn er bald seine Menschen für immer finden würde.WAS BISHER GESCHAH:Remo und seine Schwester lebten in einer Zeltsiedlung am Rande von Patras. Beide Hunde wurden dort nicht gut behandelt und hatten kein schönes Dasein. Zum Glück gelang es örtlichen Tierschützern sie dort heraus zu holen und sicher unter zu bringen. Remo lebt jetzt auf einem eingezäunten Gelände mit mehreren Artgenossen zusammen. Er ist verträglich mit allen und noch sehr verspielt. Augenscheinlich stecken in ihm Herdenschutzgene, sodass Remo ein zu Hause am besten abseits der Stadt und mit einem eingezäunten Grundstück braucht. Seine neue Familie sollte sich den Besonderheiten von Herdenschutzhunden bewusst sein und im besten Fall bereits Erfahrung haben.Remo ist bereits kastriert, geimpft, gechipt und entwurmt, sein Mittelmeercheck war in allen Bereichen negativ. Außerdem hat er einen EU-Heimtierausweis im Gepäck.
