Reyna is a white-black female cat. Her birthdate is estimated to be August 21, 2018. Her long life as a stray in the sun has severely burned her ears, resulting in a tumor. The tumor was removed, and unfortunately, a portion of both ears had to be amputated when Reyna arrived at our shelter. We wholeheartedly wish her many happy years indoors in a forever home that will ease her pain and help her forget her past. A quiet home with lots of love will positively influence Reyna's well-being. A busy household with young children is not the best fit for her. She does not feel comfortable around other cats and animals and becomes tense in their presence. Therefore, we are placing her as a single pet, so she can receive all the attention from our staff. This will also allow Reyna's personality to shine. Cuddles and head-butting are gifts for her new owners when she gains more confidence and no expectations are placed on her. When she receives all the space and patience to flourish, her shyness and hesitation will decrease. A golden bed provides stability, routine, and a familiar person(s) to build a good foundation. She will surely appreciate an extra serving(s) of wet food daily. In the shelter, she enjoys it. This can easily be combined with her daily kibble. It is currently unclear whether Reyna has been spayed, but it is likely. If she becomes in heat within a year, her new owner(s) will receive a reimbursement to have her spayed (or neutered for a female cat) by one of our affiliated veterinarians. Deze wit-zwarte dame is Reyna. Haar geboortedatum wordt geschat op 21 augustus 2018. Het lange zwervende buitenleven in de zon heeft haar oortjes ernstig doen verbranden. Daardoor is er ook een tumor op gegroeid. De tumor is verwijderd en een gedeelte van beide oortjes amputeren was helaas noodzakelijk toen Reyna bij ons in de opvang binnenkwam. Wij gunnen haar van harte nog vele fijne jaren binnenshuis in een forever home dat haar al het leed doet verzachten en vergeten. Een rustig huisje waar veel liefde woont zal Reyna’s welzijn positief beïnvloeden. Een druk gezinsleven met kleine kinderen is niet de keuze die bij haar past. Tussen andere katten en diersoorten voelt ze zich niet comfortabel en is dan gespannen. Daarom plaatsen we haar als enige huisdier, zodat ze alle aandacht van haar personeel mag verwelkomen. Dan komt ook Reyna’s karakter meer tot zijn recht. Knuffels en kopjes geven zijn cadeautjes voor haar nieuwe baas(jes) als ze meer zelf vertrouwen heeft en er geen verwachtingen zijn. Wanneer zij alle ruimte en geduld krijgt om op te bloeien zal haar voorzichtigheid en wat terughoudende aarzeling afnemen. Een gouden mand biedt stabiliteit, regelmaat en de vertrouwde persoon(en) om een goede basis op te bouwen. Dagelijks een extra portie(s) natvoer op het menu gaat ze zeker waarderen. In de opvang smult ze er van. Dit kan prima samengaan met haar dagelijkse brokjes. Of Reyna al ooit een castratie heeft ondergaan is momenteel nog niet duidelijk. De kans is groot van wel. Mocht ze toch binnen het jaar krols worden, dan krijgt haar nieuwe baasje(s) een vergoeding om de castratie (zo heet het bij een poes ook) te laten doen bij één van onze aangesloten dierartsen.
