Adopt Rhesi

Podenco · Female · Adult · 5 years

Rhesi is a quiet and kind Podenco Mix girl, who arrived to us after she was rescued from wandering the streets in Guadalmina, Marbella. She was not in a bad shape physically when she arrived, just shy and a bit scared. Rhesi is an eyecatching, beautiful mixed breed, not a very common look! Rhesi walks so calmly and softly on the leash, and she is very pleasant to be around. Her presence is soothing, she really is very calm, patient, lovely with all humans, and doesn't overwhelm anyone. Rhesi could potentially also join a family with an autistic or otherwise sensitive people, her presence would most likely match with people with special senses. Rhesi is good with other dogs, and a great educator dog, communicating clearly with other dogs, and expressing her boundaries politely and effectively. She has lived together with a very small female dog, and now with an active, excited young male as well. Rhesi could also be an only dog of a home, and we do wish for a home for her in a quiet neighborhood, close to the nature, because of her own soft nature. She can be a bit shy first, but starts trusting people quickly, by coming to you and putting her nose and face in your hands. Rhesi loves snacks and food, and once she knows you have something yummy, her tail will continue to wag, and she is thankful for the food and attention. Rhesi would be suitable for a home with elderly people, absolutely, but at the same time also for a family with quieter, educated children, maybe with shy children, who need a supportive friend in their lives. This is a very special, beautiful girl, and we are looking for a very loving home for her. Her shoulder height is 49cm.

About Rhesi

What life with Rhesi looks like

Rhesi is a medium-sized adult podenco dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rhesi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rhesi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rhesi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rhesi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rhesi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rhesi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rhesi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
