Risa

Female · Young · 2 years

Size of dogs varies greatly. The following categories help you better understand the world of small, medium, large and giant dogs. It is important to take into account weight, height and body structure. Meet Risa - a small black female puppy, one of the treasures of a family of six puppies. Born around June 2024, Risa is about 48 cm tall and radiates energy and curiosity. Along with her brothers she came to the shelter when she was just a puppy, and she still thinks this is her home. However, Risa deserves to be seen and loved for her gentle and loyal heart. She is friendly, curious and full of life, but is not yet accustomed to the leash, so the future owner will need patience and care to help her understand that it is not dangerous. Once her trust is gained, Risa will be a devoted companion for life. Risa is ready for adoption: microchipped, vaccinated and spayed, ready to start a new life in a loving family. So many dogs, so many. I could never imagine people being so bad and abandoning such souls. At this point I am ashamed to be part of the biped species. I have no words, I can't express in words the respect and appreciation for the team who takes care of them. Congratulations!!! Well done!!!

Bravo!!!

About Risa

What life with Risa looks like

Risa is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea in Sisterea.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Frequently asked

Adopting Risa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Risa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Risa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Risa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Risa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Risa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea early rather than rehoming privately; they know Risa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
