Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia

Domestic Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Roberto was rescued on 13 April 2025 alongside his brother Sergio. Both grew up in a foster home, surrounded by love, care and the warmth of a family. Shortly afterwards, when they were tested, they were found to be positive for feline leukaemia. Roberto’s life changed again when he lost his brother Sergio. Since then, more than ever, he needs to find a family that will give him back the stability and love he so richly deserves. Roberto is an affectionate cat who is becoming more and more comfortable around people every day. He seeks contact, craves cuddles and enjoys your company. Although he is still a little shy and doesn’t particularly like being picked up—he only tolerates it for a short while—he is gradually opening up more and more. He has a very special look in his eyes, the kind that seems to silently ask for a home where he can feel loved and safe. Despite testing positive for leukaemia, Roberto can lead a happy and fulfilling life with good care, regular vet check-ups and lots of love. Feline leukaemia-positive cats deserve the same opportunities as any other. 💛 Roberto has already lost too much. Now he just needs someone to open the doors of their home and their heart to him. ✨ Adopt Roberto and change his story forever. 📩 📸 Instagram:

About Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia

What life with Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia looks like

Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia is a small puppy/kitten domestic shorthair cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

Note from the shelter: Feline Leukemia Positive - requires special care and stable environment

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roberto/Sergio+Leucemia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
