Robin

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Robin was rescued from a bad situation of living on a short metal chain in a backyard of a garage or similar, we have the videos of the conditions he was living in and they are very very difficult to look at. Sweet, kind Robin arrived to us as a young boy, so scared of life, so scared of humans, everything around him. But it did not take him long at all, to start trusting the first humans, his caretakers in the shelter, and he loved to run in the free-running dog park right away! The dog parks are his favourite place to be. During his time in the shelter, Robin has learn to trust and love people, even though he still needs to see new humans a few times before he really relaxes around them and becomes his smiley, playful self. Robin loves other dogs, and he is excellent in blending into to dog groups and making friends with other canines. Robin also helps other scared dogs, by showing them all the trust and courage he has already learned, and they follow his lead to also come out of their shells. At the moment Robin is living together with his scared friend Eros, to help Eros, but actually he could live with any other social, friendly dogs, males & females, because he is just such a friendly, kind boy! Robin gets scared of loud noises, groups of people and sudden things happening, so he is definitely looking for a slow-life home, where most of his days would look the same, living in peace with his own humans, in his own circle of family, and for Robin it is definitely a must to have 1 or more dogs already waiting for him in his new home - they will help him settle into his new life, and will make his everyday life so much happier. On most of his pictures you will see Robin with a big smile - that's how Robin is, in his comfort zone, with the people he trusts - goofy, playful, loving, happy, and very interested in snacks! He just needs people to give him a moment, and to offer him guidance. Robin is looking for a confident human or family, who will take decisions and who will avoid putting Robin into overwhelming situations. A home on the countryside, without loud streets and heavy traffic, in a setting where the home is not often visited by new people - that would be Robin's dream. His shoulder height is approximately 52cm, and he is available for adoption in Spain or internationally in countries where Triple A has a representation team.

About Robin

What life with Robin looks like

Robin is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Robin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Robin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Robin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Robin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Robin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Robin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Robin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
