Adopt Rocky Husky

Husky · Male · Senior · 10 years

Rocky is a spirited 9-year-old Husky with boundless energy who loves ball games and squeaky toys. This talkative dog enjoys exploring quiet areas but avoids crowds and other dogs, preferring his independence. He needs secure fields for running due to his strong chase drive. At home, Rocky is aloof and independent, preferring to relax near his family rather than cuddle closely. He's house-trained, travels well, and knows basic commands. Rocky needs an experienced owner who enjoys long walks and can provide a home without cats, small animals, or livestock. He's friendly with people and suitable for families with teenage children.

Rocky is proving that age is just a number – Yes, he's a senior gent at ten-years-old; Out and about he has the energy of a two-year-old and is always up for some toy play and a big walk. He loves to play ball, and you can swap a ball for another ball to get a game of fetch going. He enjoys chasing after his toys, and his favourites are of the squeaky variety. He is a character, a typical talkative Husky – speaking in his native Husky language! He enjoys exploring quieter areas and would rather avoid the crowds. He doesn’t look for interaction from other dogs. However, he can make doggy pals to go for walks with if introduced gradually. We would advice Rocky being on his lead due to his chase drive, secure fields are an excellent choice for big run time, and long-lines are a great option in suitable areas. Rocky at home likes to chill and sit in the window and watch the world go by. He loves spending time in his foster carers garden, rolling around on the grass, chilling by yourside as your having cofee on the patio, or stretch out in the shade. Rocky is independent, he'll have a bit of a fuss, and then he’s happy to find a spot near you and snooze rather than snuggle up close. He has been known to shun a comfy dog bed and instead stretch out on a rug. He loves nice tasty treats and if the motivation is right, so cheese, chicken, or suasage, he'll show you his sit, wait, paw, and down. Rocky is a beautiful ten-year-old Husky looking for a loving home with adopters who enjoy long walks. He could share his home with teenage children. He’s looking to be the only dog. He will need a home without cats, and small furries, and as Rocky has a high prey drive, care will be needed around livestock. Rocky is instantly friendly with new people and greets visitors to the home gently; he could cope with a reasonably busy home environment. He is happy to be left alone at home for a few hours at a time. He is housetrained and he travels well in the car. "Rocky is a friendly, gentl
