Ronny und Costa

Male · Young · 2 years

Permanent placement for Costa and Ronny needed! 🐰🐰Some animals carry a particularly heavy burden and yet never lose their zest for life. Costa and Ronny are exactly such little fighters. Two wonderful young rabbit boys who had to learn at an early age what it means to be chronically ill, but who still choose life anew every day. Costa and Ronny are loving, gentle, and people-oriented. They are familiar with human contact, and they are happy with attention, proximity, and care. Most importantly, they have each other. The two are a well-coordinated team, very harmonious, they give each other support, sleep together, groom each other, and should never be separated. Unfortunately, both carry health projects. They are chronic dental patients, which means their teeth must be closely monitored and regularly corrected by a veterinarian. The distances are unfortunately quite short. Additionally, both suffer from chronic sniffles, take medication long-term, and are inhaled daily. Despite this, Costa and Ronny love their lives🥰 They are overjoyed about fresh herbs, have their favorite foods, enjoy grazing, explore their surroundings curiously, and show every day how much life force is in them. Illnesses do not define them; they are simply two rabbits who want to feel joy, enjoy, and be happy. For the two, we are looking for a permanent placement with genuine rabbit lovers, people with hearts, patience, and understanding, who are ready to take on responsibility. A home with plenty of space, species-appropriate interior, and the willingness to accommodate special needs. What does permanent placement mean? All veterinary costs will be covered by us, as well as, if desired, the food costs. The foster home will lovingly care for Costa and Ronny, take care of daily care, administer medication, inhale, and keep in regular contact with our veterinarian for check-ups and surgeries. Costa and Ronny have it so much deserved, to succeed despite their chronic illnesses, to feel secure, and to live in a loving home. Maybe you are exactly this safe haven?🐰❤️🐰 If you would like to meet Costa and Ronny, please fill out our inquiry form.

Was bedeutet Dauerpflegestelle?

About Ronny und Costa

What life with Ronny und Costa looks like

Ronny und Costa is a young adult rabbit waiting at Tierhelfer Ingelheim e. V. in Germany.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Frequently asked

Adopting Ronny und Costa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ronny und Costa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhelfer Ingelheim e. V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ronny und Costa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ronny und Costa if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierhelfer Ingelheim e. V. what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Ronny und Costa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierhelfer Ingelheim e. V. directly what is included and what Ronny und Costa still needs.
What happens if Ronny und Costa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhelfer Ingelheim e. V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ronny und Costa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
