Ik ben Rooky…. hoi hoi. Graag stel ik mijzelf voor aan mijn toekomstig personeel van m’n gouden mandje. Ben jij dat? Cypers-wit is het kostuum dat ik dagelijks draag. 10 maart 2018 is mijn geboortedatum, die is geschat door de specialist die mijn tandjes heeft bekeken. Tja, zo doen ze dat als je net als ik zwervend van de straat komt. Toen ik in de opvang kwam had ik een wond, het straatleven gaat niet altijd over rozen. Daarvan ben ik helemaal genezen en klaar om te verhuizen naar een forever home. In het beginwas ik in de opvang nogal terughoudend. Langzaam ga ik steeds meer in het zicht liggen en dat tempo zou ik graag voortzetten als ik bij jou kom wonen. Geduld en géén verwachtingen zijn voor mij belangrijk om mensen te gaan vertrouwen. Dat zijn de eerste stapjes. Mezelf laten aaien is nu nog een stapje te ver. Regelmatig een lekker hapje natvoer zal positief bijdragen aan het wenproces. Noteer je dat even? Je zult wel begrijpen dat een druk gezinsleven met ook nog andere dieren/soortgenoten mij géén goed doen. Geef mij maar een rustig huisje en huisgenoten. Wat schuilplekjes en genoeg ruimte om te observeren vanuit een eigen (hoog) plekje zou tof zijn. Samen spelen met bijvoorbeeld een hengeltje of balletje kan onze band versterken.
