adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Rosa has found her people! Her story: With the little Rosa, you get a sweet family addition! Rosa and her siblings – Kili, Mavie, Lakota, and Taro – are still just 2.5 months old and incredibly tiny, but already so adorable. Born on the streets, they were brought to the shelter by dog catchers. There, they share a run, snuggle, play, and show all the traits that puppies are known for: they are curious, lively, and always happy when someone comes to give them a bit of attention. For the first time, they are getting regular meals and a little bit of security. But what they need most right now is security, closeness – and someone to show them how wonderful life can be. With her short, brown-spotted fur and white snout, Rosa is simply pure cuteness. She still looks a little cautious at the world – but with a look that already reveals she won't be easily deterred in the future. Generally, it's not so easy to figure out the breed mix in our wonderful mixed-breed dogs. Especially with the sweet five-member rattle band, which also looks very different from each other, this quickly becomes a challenge – a lot is possible. Due to their current size and build, we suspect that Rosa will likely grow into a medium-sized female dog. Like all puppies, Rosa also needs people who have time for her – especially in the first year, when she needs to understand many things and get to know everything a dog needs for life in peace. Puberty will not be an exception for her: it's completely normal that she will sometimes test her boundaries during this phase. Good dog training classes could provide valuable support here so that two and four-legged beings can grow into a well-coordinated team. Sunny Rosa is looking for a home with a close family connection where she can enjoy a lot of attention and especially quality time – preferably with lots of cuddles. She looks forward to long walks, exuberant play, and varied mental stimulation that challenges her clever mind. Rosa would also surely be happy to meet other dogs on friendly terms. She has not yet met any cats. After a positive age-related spay, she is still not spayed. Who would like to become the everything to the charming Rosa? A foster home for the little one is also warmly welcome. Many thanks, Nele, for taking on her nametag sponsorship. As of: 03.07. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 03.07.2025

About Rosa

What life with Rosa looks like

Rosa is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
