adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Rosa has found her forever home! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. Are you German Shepherd fans? Then you are in the right place! Our beautiful German Shepherd-Mix female dog Rosa is currently waiting at the public shelter in Baia Mare for her jackpot! To escape her dreary life behind the bars of her kennel and run freely in the garden and sleep in her own warm dog bed is her greatest wish. Who will fulfill her dream? Rosa is a beautiful female dog. Look at those expressive eyes! She is just 4 years old and thus in her prime! She measures 55 cm at the shoulder and belongs to the medium-sized dogs. Our Rosa is a loving and outgoing dog lady. She enjoys cuddles and likes people. She also gets along well with her fellow animals. As you can easily see, Rosa is a German Shepherd-Mix and thus brings a lot of power! She should be given plenty of physical and mental stimulation. We know nothing about Rosa's past. She was brought to the shelter by the dog catchers. We assume that she has never lived in a household. Therefore, we are looking for active and experienced people for our energetic Rosa who are eager to take her on excursions in wide fields and large forests and to promote and challenge her both physically and mentally. Rosa still has a lot to learn, but we are sure that she will manage with her curiosity and a leading experienced hand. A positively reinforcing training style and regular attendance in working dog training classes would bring her a lot of joy and she would develop into a loyal and wonderful companion. Rosa is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and has an EU pet passport. She will be rehomed for an adoption fee of 450 Euros. Rosa is ready to move into her forever home as soon as possible. Do you want a wonderful companion for life? Then we look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks, Lis. You named Rosa.

Vielen Dank Lis. Du hast Rosa ihren Namen geschenkt.,

About Rosa

What life with Rosa looks like

Rosa is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
