Adopt Rosalie

Female · Puppy

Rosalie comes from the Hungarian animal shelter. She wandered around on the streets and no one was looking for her. Now, the sweet one waits in our partner shelter for a new, loving family. The mouse is a very loving, gentle, and sensitive female dog. Currently, she is still a bit insecure and reserved. An innocent little soul who surely did not receive much love and attention in her previous home. Rosalie already runs well on the leash and gets along well with other dogs. Only cats should not live in the new home. She shows some reserve towards strangers at first and needs time to warm up. Once she opens up, she shows herself as a loving, affectionate female dog. For the sweet one, we wish understanding people who can give her time, build trust, and show her how beautiful life can be by the side of a loved one. Children in the new home should already be older and be able to show understanding for her. A nice, already existing dog in the family is welcome, but not necessary. Rosalie is not really suited for life in the middle of a big city. Her new family should live in a more quiet environment. This would certainly make the adjustment easier for Rosalie. We hope that she will soon win a heart. Because Rosalie is really a little treasure who deserves a second chance at a beautiful life. Dogs from the international animal shelter need time, patience, and lots of love to adapt to their new life. Those who walk this path with Rosalie will be rewarded with a deep, lifelong connection. The sweet Rosalie is, of course, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, medically examined, and has an EU pet passport. The handover could take place on June 27, 2026, in Berlin, or alternatively in the Stuttgart area, should someone fall in love with her and give her a – forever home –! Rosalie Breed: female dog (neutered) Age: March 1, 2023 Shoulder height: approx. 38 cm

About Rosalie

What life with Rosalie looks like

Rosalie is a large puppy/kitten dog waiting at animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen in Ketzin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosalie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosalie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosalie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosalie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosalie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosalie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosalie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
