Rosi

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Rosi has found her forever home! Her story: Our little fighter Rosi has certainly experienced a lot in her young dog years and is full of longing and friendliness. Her first year of life was spent alone on the streets of Romania. Now she is looking for a cozy dog bed and waiting for her forever family. Rosi is currently living in a private foster home with a few other dogs. She always shows friendliness towards her fellow animals and knows how to behave socially towards other dogs. She is also friendly towards people and cats. Rosi has successfully undergone all vaccinations and is ready for travel arrangements to her forever home. The little female dog brings a friendly, curious, and self-assured nature with her. She approaches everyone with whom she makes contact openly. With her watchful gaze, she learns new things attentively and shows great willingness to learn. Adopting a shelter dog always comes with a new and exciting chapter. Rosi still doesn't know everything that goes into her new life and needs people who give her the time and space to settle in her home. If given this, she can gradually adapt well to her new home. Additionally, she doesn't yet know what it means to be house-trained or leash-trained. She needs people who will patiently teach her everything that goes into her new dog life. She would also surely appreciate the opportunity to attend positive dog training classes. At 1.5 years old, Rosi has grown up. At that age, there might still be the occasional pubertal nonsense in her head, but with loving consequences and patience, that is no big problem. Rosi is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and flea-treated. She is grateful to Frau Bürger for giving her a name and thus her identity. As of: 14.04.

Danke an Frau Bürger. Stand: 14.04.2025

About Rosi

What life with Rosi looks like

Rosi is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
