Roy 4 Baby Roy 2 Baby Roy 1 Nestje van 10, Roy Roy en zijn 9(!) broertjes en zusjes werden samen met hun moeder Romy gevonden in Zuid-Spanje. Ze hadden zich verstopt in een grot. Ze mochten allemaal naar PawsPatas, waar ze konden aansterken (knusse foto). Nu ze groot genoeg zijn, mogen wij PawsPatas helpen een (t)huisje te vinden. De shelter PawsPatas biedt onderdak en aandacht aan zwerfhonden en katten in Andalusië. Het asiel werd in 1989 opgericht door een groep enthousiaste vrijwilligers die zich het lot van de Spaanse zwerfdieren aantrok. Dieren worden er nooit ingeslapen, hoe lang ze er ook zitten. Bij PawsPatas werken veel vrijwilligers. Een flink deel komt van buiten Spanje om een paar weken te helpen met het verzorgen en socialiseren van de honden. Stichting Wereldhonden werkt al heel lang samen met dit asiel. We plaatsen regelmatig honden en we hopen mensen enthousiast te maken voor vrijwilligerswerk in Spanje (zie ‘Helpen’ op deze website). Roy heeft een goudbruine vacht met witte borst en enkele witte teentjes, zó schattig. Hij is zachtaardig, lief, en een grote knuffelkont. Roy komt uit een groot nest en heeft dus lekker kunnen spelen en ravotten met zijn broertjes en zusjes. Zo is hij uitgegroeid tot een sociale jongen die graag bij mensen en honden is. PawsPatas zorgt – als altijd – voor een goede start voor de kleintjes. Zo hebben ze al geleerd om netjes aan de riem te lopen. Ook wordt er veel geknuffeld met de verzorgers. Daardoor vinden ze mensen superleuk! Het liefst blijven de jonge hondjes de hele dag bij je in de buurt. En het liefst vallen ze daarna in slaap tegen jou aan… De pups zijn geboren op 28 november 2025. Roy zal uitgroeien tot een lichtgebouwde, middelgrote hond, is de verwachting. Er zit duidelijk een galgo in hem, een Spaanse windhondenras. Dat verklaart zijn fijn gebouwde lijfje én zijn zachte, aanhankelijke karakter.
