The story of Rufus began on the streets. He arrived at the animal shelter as a puppy, just three or four months old, along with his sisters Cota and Bell. As the offspring of a very wary stray dog, Rufus grew with those survival genes burned into his DNA: a strong lack of trust in humans and marked socialization issues. Today, Rufus has grown and made a decision: the animal shelter, with its routines, its open spaces, and its pack, is his true home. A pack soul: Rufus is a dog of dogs. He relates wonderfully to his canine companions, finding in the group the security that humans still elicit a sense of caution in him. Respect for his space: Although he remains very reserved and avoids physical contact with people, Rufus is not an unhappy dog. He simply chose to live on his own terms, feeling protected alongside his sisters. The comfort of the known: For Rufus, the animal shelter is not a place to pass through; it is where he knows where to sleep, where to eat, and whom to trust. It is his zone of comfort and sanctuary.

La historia de Rufo comenzó en la calle. Llegó al refugio siendo apenas un cachorro de tres o cuatro meses, junto a sus hermanas Cota y Bell. Al ser hijo de una perra callejera muy desconfiada, Rufo creció con esos genes de supervivencia grabados a fuego: una fuerte falta de confianza hacia los seres humanos y marcados problemas de socialización. Hoy, Rufo ha crecido y ha tomado una decisión: el refugio, con sus rutinas, sus espacios abiertos y su manada, es su verdadero hogar. Un alma de manada: Rufo es un perro de perros. Se relaciona de maravilla con sus compañeros caninos, encontrando en el grupo la seguridad que el ser humano todavía le despierta recelo. Respeto a su espacio: Aunque sigue siendo muy reservado y rehúye el contacto físico con las personas, no es un perro infeliz. Simplemente, ha elegido vivir bajo sus propios términos, sintiéndose protegido junto a sus hermanas.
