Rufo ir paliela auguma suņu opis. Raksturā mīļš un lādzīgs, dievina cilvēkus un ļoti novērtē kopā pavadīto laiku. Neitrāls pret citiem suņiem, domājams, ka mājās spētu sadzīvot ar kādu draudzīgu suņuku. Labi jutīsies gan dzīvoklī, gan privātmājā, ir kārtīgs, ja regulāri tiek vests ārā. Rufo sadzīvos arī ar prātīgiem bērniem. Ļoti atsaucīgs, prātīgs un draudzīgs suņuks, kurš tik ļoti tiecas pēc cilvēka.
