Adopt RUNA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 2 months

RUNA was rescued together with her mom Paula and her nine siblings from the kill shelter. In the meantime, the small dog family has settled in well and all are ready for their own home. Between the siblings there are currently few character differences, but as a rough estimate we would place RUNA among the somewhat calmer ones. At our shelter, the puppies are currently getting to know fellow animals of all sizes and all ages in order to lay the foundation for extensive socialization. Learning to walk on a leash and living in a house they will also learn alongside our volunteers in the next weeks. For RUNA we are now looking for a home where she can receive loving but also consistent training. The young female dog may move in with motivated dog beginners, provided that during the beginning the care is ensured by a competent dog trainer, so that no mistakes can creep into the training.

About RUNA

What life with RUNA looks like

RUNA is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting RUNA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about RUNA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw RUNA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt RUNA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is RUNA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if RUNA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know RUNA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
