Struppi

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Profile: Age: born around May 2026 Gender: female Spayed: no Character: very friendly, playfully puppy-like Size: still growing, likely to remain rather small In the shelter since: July 2026 Relatives: mom Apple, sisters Alexandria, RW 21 & Mabel Hello, I’m RW 28. 🤎 Among my sisters, I immediately stand out—they look just like our mom, while I resemble my dad more. My coat is brown and shaggy, and my legs are short—and that’s exactly why I’ll always remain a tiny little dog. Sometimes I wonder if that might just be my luck: whether somewhere out there, there’s a person who’ll see precisely me—not just any puppy, but me. I so desperately hope that my story won’t end in the shelter—that I won’t have to grow up here, even though my life has only just begun. I want to run, cuddle, and be loved. I don’t need much space—really, not at all. But what I do wish for is a permanent place in a heart that’ll never let me go again. Maybe you’re that person. If so, I promise you: from my little body will grow a dog with a love that’s bigger than anything I’ve ever experienced before. Piqued your interest? If you’re interested in RW 28, please fill out our inquiry form () or send us an email or a message via Facebook. RW 28 is ready for travel and can join the next transport to Germany. Our dogs travel legally with Traces—a database system used to monitor all animal movements within the EU. The dogs travel spayed (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and they come with an EU pet passport. Additionally, for dogs aged 12 months and older, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted prior to departure: Lyme disease (Borreliosis), Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariosis, and Leishmaniasis. Sponsorship support: Furthermore, RW 28 would love to have a caring sponsor who, through sponsorship, can give her a lovely name and thus help her gain an identity that increases her chances of finding a forever home.

About Struppi

What life with Struppi looks like

Struppi is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Struppi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Struppi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Struppi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Struppi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Struppi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Struppi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Struppi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
