Ludovica

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

RW 33 is a charming female puppy born in March 2026. She has not been spayed and is very friendly and playful, typical of her age group. RW 33 is still growing and will reach small to medium size. She has been at the shelter since June 2026. Her mother is Saniah, and she has siblings: RW 26, Spotty, RM 34, RW 32 & RM 41. We would like to highlight our enchanting RW 33. She has a fluffy cream-colored coat and a cute little teddy face. She is one of the puppies who loves exploring the world with wide eyes and a curious nose. Together with her mom and siblings, she was able to stay at our caregiver's home after being given up. Life for a small puppy is very exciting there: there are children, other dogs, cats, and something new to discover every day. RW 33 takes a close look at everything and is often bolder than her siblings. At the moment, her world is still in order. Her mom is there, her siblings are around for playtime, and each day brings new adventures. But puppies don't stay small forever. Soon their paths will separate, and everyone will have to find their own place in life. How does a little puppy imagine the future? Maybe she just wishes for people with whom she never has to say goodbye again. A home where they can grow together, experience security, and fall asleep content every evening - feeling like they belong. RW 33 is ready to give her heart away. Now all that's missing are the right people. Interested? If you are interested in RW 33, please fill out our interest form () or send us an email at or a message via Facebook. RW 33 is ready for travel and can travel with the next transport to Germany. Our dogs travel legally with Traces, which is the database system that monitors all animal traffic within the EU. The dogs travel spayed (if old enough), vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, a rapid test for the following diseases will be performed on dogs 12 months or older before departure: Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. Patronage support: RW 33 also wishes to have a loving patron who can give her a beautiful name through sponsorship, thus helping her find an identity that increases her chances of being adopted.

About Ludovica

What life with Ludovica looks like

Ludovica is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ludovica, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ludovica?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ludovica on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ludovica if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ludovica already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ludovica isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ludovica and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
