S2

Mixed Breed · Unknown

S2 arrived at our care, with the help of familiar animal welfare workers, after being rescued from very poor living conditions. The four little ones had lived in a closed space, and their lives were not easy at first, but fortunately, they are now in a safe place. S2 and its siblings instantly captured everyone's hearts. They are genuine puppies: curious, playful, affectionate, and increasingly bravely exploring the world. Their initial wariness has almost completely faded away, and they are showing their sweet, clingy personalities more and more each day. We very much hope that the difficult beginning of their lives is truly in the past, and that they will soon find a loving home that offers them the devotion and safety they always desired. As a future guardian, it is important to know that S2 is still a puppy. There are many lessons to learn, so patience, consistent training, and lots of love will be needed. In return, they will become a brave, wise, and grateful companion who will enrich their family's daily lives for years to come.

HU·Show original

About S2

What life with S2 looks like

S2 is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Állatvédelmi Centrum in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting S2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about S2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Állatvédelmi Centrum handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw S2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt S2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Állatvédelmi Centrum will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is S2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if S2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Állatvédelmi Centrum early rather than rehoming privately; they know S2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
