Saigon dina

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Following an operation by the Seprona, several dogs have been seized. They were living in an enclosure lacking proper care and veterinary attention. A woman was collecting dogs with good intentions, but she lacked both the resources and the knowledge necessary to provide adequate animal care. Among them are Mekkong, Hanoi, and Saigon: Saigon is 2 years old. We rescued him from a farm where he lived alongside other dogs in inadequate conditions, without basic care or veterinary attention. Given that he came from a case of Noah’s Syndrome, we believe he had little contact with people during his early years. For this reason, at first he may find it challenging to approach strangers, but given time and space, he quickly gains trust. He’s a very curious dog: he approaches to investigate who you are, accepts treats from your hand, and once he feels safe, he’s starting to enjoy being petted. The collar and harness haven’t posed much of a problem for him, so he’s already begun going for walks. He shows a willingness to explore his surroundings, discover the outside world, and generally faces the stimuli he encounters along the way with remarkable calmness. Saigon is an observant, calm, and thoughtful dog. He simply needs an experienced, patient, and understanding family—one that respects his pace and allows him to progress at his own speed. We’re convinced that once he feels secure, he’ll reveal the wonderful personality he carries within. If you’re willing to give him that time and accompany him on this journey, please write to us. Saigon is waiting for an opportunity to finally begin the life he’s always deserved. Leishmaniasis test is positive; treatment has been initiated. He’s already neutered. The 4-Idexx test (for ehrlichia, filaria, anaplasma, and borrelia) is negative. Show more of his story Show less

Test 4 Idexx (ehrlichia, filaria, anaplasma y borrelia) negativo. Mostrar más de su historia Mostrar menos

About Saigon dina

What life with Saigon dina looks like

Saigon dina is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at ALBA Protectora Madrid in Madrid.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Saigon dina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Saigon dina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ALBA Protectora Madrid handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Saigon dina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Saigon dina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ALBA Protectora Madrid will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Saigon dina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Saigon dina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ALBA Protectora Madrid early rather than rehoming privately; they know Saigon dina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
