Salvador is a wild dog, everywhere he goes on walks, he sniffs and enjoys that he left the kennel. He has a lot of energy which he can only burn on walks, because the shelter kennel is too small for him... He gets bored in it and misses people. Unfortunately, in shelter conditions, he can count on one walk a day, which is definitely too little for such an energetic dog. He already participated in the "Adopt a Warsaw Dog" outreach events and does very well in urban environments. He really likes traveling by bus, is polite and is not bothered by the close presence of other dogs. In his relationship with people, Salvador needs time to gain confidence and feel safe. When he came to us, he had a big problem with touch, especially around the neck. He didn't like being leashed and tried to grab the hand - now this is no longer such a problem as at the beginning. He has some cataracts and perhaps because of this feels uncertain and fears touch... or maybe he has some bad experiences from the past? He has been in the animal shelter for a very long time. He has calmed down, softened and gained trust in people. Unfortunately, he has also aged a bit during this time... It's high time he moves into his own home, so he can still enjoy life a little... Will someone finally give him a chance? We are looking for a home where he will be an only dog, an ideal home would be a house with a garden, where besides walks, he would have space to burn off his energy. We recommend Salvador to a home without children.

Salvador to żywiołowy pies, na spacerze wszędzie go pełno, węszy i cieszy się, że opuścił boks. Ma mnóstwo energii, którą może spożytkować tylko na spacerze, bo schroniskowy boks jest dla niego za mały... Nudzi się w nim i tęskni za człowiekiem. Niestety w schroniskowych warunkach może liczyć na jeden spacer dziennie, a to zdecydowanie za mało dla tak energicznego psa. Był już uczestnikiem wyjazdowych akcji Adoptuj Warszawiaka i bardzo dobrze sobie radzi w przestrzeni miejskiej. Bardzo lubi podróżować autobusem, jest grzeczny i nie przeszkadza mu bliska obecność psów. W relacji z człowiekiem, Salvador potrzebuje czasu, żeby nabrać pewności i poczuć się bezpieczne. Gdy do nas trafił miał duży problem z dotykiem, szczególnie w obrębie szyi. Nie lubił przypinania smyczy i próbował łapać za rękę - teraz nie stanowi to już takiego problemu jak na początku. Ma początki zaćmy i być może przez to czuje się niepewnie i obawia się dotyku... a być może ma jakieś przykre doświadczenia z przeszłości? Jest już w schronisku bardzo długo. Wyciszył się, złagodniał i nabrał zaufania do ludzi. Niestety też przez ten czas postarzał się trochę... Najwyższy czas, by przeprowadził się na swoje, by zdążył jeszcze choć trochę cieszyć się życiem... Czy ktoś da mu w końcu szansę? Szukamy domu, w którym będzie jedynakiem, idealny byłby dom z ogrodem, gdzie oprócz spacerów, miałby miejsce na spożytkowanie swojej energii. Salvadora polecamy do domu bez dzieci.
