adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Sari has found her home! Her story: May we introduce her? This is Sari, and as you can see, the little mouse has the softest eyes in the world! At just three months old, she's still a little puppy and will develop into a wonderful small to medium-sized female dog. Her unique appearance reminds a bit of a little lamb – so cuddly and delicate. Sari was found with her mother and is now waiting in a foster home for her big journey to happiness. There, she has also learned to get along with other dogs and gets along super well with them. Even cats are no problem for the little mouse. She is a charming and people-oriented little lady who can't wait to meet her new favorite people. Sari is currently in the best puppy age, which also means that she still needs to practice housebreaking. She also needs to learn to be left alone and should not be left alone as much as possible in her first year of life. And she will soon also enter puberty. This means that she still has a lot to learn. The little mouse might test you now and then, but with patience, love, and a good measure of consistency, she will become a great companion. It's important to raise Sari playfully and positively. She wants to discover the world, smell everything, and of course also sometimes go overboard – typical puppy and young pup, after all! Sari travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home, together with her EU companion animal passport. After a positive But she would also be happy in a foster home. Who falls in love with the little, gentle Sari and gives her a home? She is ready to explore the world with you! Thank you, Claudia, with your namesake sponsorship, you have made Sari's way into a happy dog life possible. As of: 12.08.

Stand: 12.08.2025

About Sari

What life with Sari looks like

Sari is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sari, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sari?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sari on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sari if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sari already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sari isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sari and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
