Personality:Happy little Scrumpy is a fun and energetic boy who wants to join you on all your adventures, he loves to sniff his way around a good walk. Scrumpy likes a treat and will love to learn tricks and to play with his toys. Behaviour:Scrumpy can pull on walks and get a bit excited about squirrels and other dogs he will need someone who can hold him on lead and a family who will be keen to continue his training. Scrumpy can be a little shy around new people but he warms up quickly. Housing:Scrumpy cannot be re-homed to the Horsham area. He will need access to a private garden to burn off some of his energy. We don’t have much history for Scrumpy and so he may need to learn to be left gradually, so he will need a home where someone can be around most of the time to begin with. Children/pets:Scrumpy has walked with a few of our dogs at the centre he is a little over the top in his social interactions. For this reason he needs to be an only dog but he would benefit from a calm dog friend who he can join for on lead walks. He needs to live in a household without cats and very small children, he can live with children of secondary school age. He will also need a home without other small animals unless they can be suitably separated. Vet history:Scrumpy is up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations. He will need to return to the centre at a later date to be neutered. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
