How do I contact the shelter about Seba?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Seba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Seba if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Seba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Seba isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Seba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Seba

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 7 months

Seba is one of many German Shepherds in our shelter. 🦮 He had a home and was loved, although he spent his whole life outdoors, and suddenly his whole life fell apart. The owners died, and he was left without care. 😔 Seba is an older dog, and it's not easy to find a home for him. Although he doesn't cause problems in the shelter, he doesn't inspire enthusiasm in visitors. He is calm, composed, and slow. He doesn't seek contact with humans, probably he was never close to humans. He gets along with other dogs, doesn't seek problems, and doesn't create them. 🐶 He doesn't like going for walks, probably because of joint problems. With proper care and in a loving home, it would be easier to take care of his health. Seba bravely endures grooming procedures. He is calm when being brushed. 🪮 Seba doesn't need an active home, he is looking for a quiet, warm, and patient home. A home where he can live out his last days. 🏡 📍 Seba is in the Canis Shelter for Homeless Animals in Kruszewo - about 100 km from Warsaw and Bialystok. 🦴 You can visit him every weekend from 10am to 4pm. 📞 Contact for adoption or more information: 502 750 530 Can't adopt? Seba to jeden z wielu owczarków w naszym schronisku. 🦮 Miał dom, był kochany, chociaż całe życie spędził na podwórku, a nagle całe jego życie rozpadło się. Właściciele zmarli, a on pozostał bez opieki. 🪮 Seba nie potrzebuje aktywnego domu, on szuka domu spokojnego, ciepłego i cierpliwego. Domu gdzie dożyje swoich ostatni dni. 🏡 📍 Seba przebywa w Schronisku dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt Canis w Kruszewie – ok. 100 km od Warszawy i Białegostoku. 🦴 Można go odwiedzić w każdy weekend w godzinach ! 📞 Kontakt w sprawie adopcji lub więcej informacji: 502 750 530 Nie możesz adoptować? About Seba

What life with Seba looks like

Seba is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
