Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Fiadh wishes a forever home where she can finally arrive. She is a seven-year-old spayed Segugio-Italiano female dog, about 50 cm tall and 16 kg heavy. With her short dark brown-caramel coat and distinctive markings, she is a real eye-catcher. Fia is friendly, loving, eager to learn and very intelligent. Once she has gained trust, she enjoys the closeness of her people and shows herself affectionate and clingy indoors. Outdoors, she brings a lot of energy and hunting instinct as a typical Italian hunting dog. She perceives her environment very intensively through her nose and wants people who enjoy working with her and accepting her breed-typical characteristics. She is eager to learn, but needs meaningful mental stimulation, more than just physical activity. With her independent nature, she likes to decide for herself and therefore looks for calm, consistent and patient people who give her orientation. Harshness or a loud approach unsettles her. Routines are important to her in everyday life, because they give her security and structure. She does not always call reliably when she needs to go out. Food is very motivating for Fia and can therefore be very well used for training. Due to her experiences on the street, she tends to secure food and should therefore be supervised when eating with her human and animal housemates. She is generally good with other dogs. However, we would like to have calm, confident housemates in her own home. Due to her stormy zest for life, we would like a home without small children, ideally as a single dog. We are looking for dog-experienced people who have enough time, experience with hunting dogs and enjoy promoting a clever, active dog. Fia is not a dog for everyone, but for the right people an exceptionally loyal, loving and fascinating companion. After the many changes in her life, she should finally be able to arrive. That's why we are looking for people who are aware of this responsibility and want to give her the chance of a permanent home. Further information: Jagdhunde in Not e.V. Kornelia Ritter

Weitere Informationen: Jagdhunde in Not e.V Kornelia Ritter ,

Frequently asked

Adopting Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jagdhunde in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jagdhunde in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jagdhunde in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Segugio-Italiano-Hündin “ Fiadh „ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
