They keep each other company during the day, snuggled up in a sunny spot, so they would be equally happy with someone out of the house for work or who is always close by. They are currently indoors-only and are happy with it, but might still enjoy access to a secured balcony or garden. While they are both doing very well, Silky will need to be monitored for a heart murmur and underlying kidney disease (CKD). While Silky had no known medical issues in the past, Shadow has had digestive issues and will also need to be monitored for CKD and to lose some weight. They have already been put on a renal diet.
