Shator (Шатор)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Kyiv and Kyiv region! Looking for a family! Shator is a puppy who was simply left behind. Along with his brothers, they were dropped off near the city council and left. Without explanations. Without a goodbye. Just - no longer needed. Shator is a medium-sized dog with nice features, a bit resembling a Corgi. But his main beauty is not in his appearance. It's in his character. He is incredibly kind and gentle. A former house pet, he seeks human contact, support, and trust, even after betrayal. He is afraid during anxiety. At these moments, he especially needs someone by his side who will calm him down, hug him, make him feel safe. He is an ideal friend for a family - calm, gentle, sincere. Someone who will be there not out of duty, but out of love. Shator is waiting. And he very much believes that this time it will be forever. Estimated birth date July 15, 2019. Coat color black with a tan undercoat. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, has a veterinary passport.

About Shator (Шатор)

What life with Shator (Шатор) looks like

Shator (Шатор) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast in Ukraine.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Shator (Шатор), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Shator (Шатор)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Shator (Шатор) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Shator (Шатор) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Shator (Шатор) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Shator (Шатор) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast early rather than rehoming privately; they know Shator (Шатор) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
