The healing power that animals exert on humans is scientifically proven. We all who live with our pets know about this special ability of our fellow creatures. The love for animals remains in our hearts forever - especially as we grow older, perhaps can no longer live alone and are in need of help. The memory of our own beloved pets is often very present and painful. More and more old people's and care homes are aware of the importance of animals and realize a shared life with residents and staff. We are more than happy that the Caritas Senior and Care Home St. Martin has contacted us with the request to select an appropriate cat or tomcat for the seniors and employees. Our choice immediately fell on Sirius - a stray tomcat who was secured by our member Simone in the district of Wunsiedel. Sirius loves and adores people, but does not need companions at his side. The idea that Sirius will be petted daily by many loving hands fills us with euphoria. Our Sandra brought Sirius to Bayreuth a few weeks ago, where he quickly felt safe and loved. A look at the photo with resident Gertrud Baumann and caregiver Angelina Fursa leaves no doubt: Sirius has found his home and enjoys the special attention of the seniors to the fullest. A heartfelt thanks goes to the facility manager, Frau Tanja Blahuschek, as well as employee, Frau Sonja Poppe. Great job ❤️🐈‍⬛🐾!

Die Erinnerung an eigene geliebte Haustiere ist oft sehr präsent und schmerzhaft. Immer mehr Alten- und Pflegeheime wissen um die Wichtigkeit von Tieren und realisieren ein Zusammenleben mit Bewohnern und Bewohnerinnen. Wir sind mehr als überglücklich darüber, dass das Caritas-Alten-und Pflegeheim St. Martin sich mit der Bitte an uns gewendet hat, eine(n) geeignete(n) Katze oder Kater für die Senioren und Mitarbeiter auszuwählen. Sofort fiel unsere Wahl auf Sirius – einen Straßenkater, der von unserem Mitglied Simone im Landkreis Wunsiedel gesichert wurde.Sirius liebt und vergöttert Menschen, braucht aber keine Artgenossen an seiner Seite.Die Vorstellung, dass Sirius künftig täglich von vielen liebevollen Händen gestreichelt wird, versetzte uns in Euphorie. Unsere Sandra brachte Sirius vor ein paar Wochen nach Bayreuth, wo er sich relativ schnell geborgen und geliebt fühlte. Ein Blick auf das Foto mit Bewohnerin Gertrud Baumann und Pflegekraft Angelina Fursa lässt keinen Zweifel zu: Sirius hat SEIN Zuhause gefunden und genießt die besondere Zuwendung der Senioren in vollen Zügen.
