Six-Seven

Male · Young · 3 years

Six-Seven (weight approx. 1.85kg, neutered) came to us as a found animal, so unfortunately we do not know his history or true age. He seems to still be a teenager. After his neutering quarantine (from 11/13/26) he is ready for a new home with a nice rabbit lady. Six-Seven is open-minded, but wants to sniff first, not touch. His compatibility with other rabbits is not known to us so far. Since Six-Seven belongs to the breed "Lop" (even if he can sometimes raise his right ear), special attention must always be paid to his ear canals, as this breeding defect carries a high risk of ear infections. He currently lives indoors. If you are interested, please contact us by e-mail () and attach a few photos of your enclosure, as well as your rabbit's vaccination certificate.

About Six-Seven

What life with Six-Seven looks like

Six-Seven is a young adult rabbit waiting at Tierheim Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Six-Seven, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Six-Seven?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Düsseldorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Six-Seven on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Six-Seven if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Düsseldorf what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Six-Seven already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Düsseldorf directly what is included and what Six-Seven still needs.
What happens if Six-Seven isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Düsseldorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Six-Seven and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
