Skrzat

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Hi! I'm Skrzat and although I'm still a little guy, I have big plans for exploring the world! Everything interests me – new smells, sounds, people, and toys. I'm energetic, confident, and full of childlike curiosity. I was born in April 2026, and I arrived at our shelter on June 13, 2026, with my siblings from our area Glowa. Now I'm waiting for a family where I can share many adventures. I'm just starting my life's journey, so I need caregivers who will help me understand the world around me. With patience, proper socialization, and teamwork, I'll grow into a fantastic canine friend. I've heard that doggy preschools are great places to learn and make my first canine friends. I'm vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. In the future, we also guarantee a free neutering procedure at our animal shelter.

Hej! Jestem Skrzat i choć jestem jeszcze mały, mam wielkie plany na poznawanie świata! Wszystko mnie interesuje – nowe zapachy, dźwięki, ludzie i zabawki. Jestem energiczny, ufny i pełen dziecięcej ciekawości.Urodziłem się w kwietniu 2026 roku, a do schroniska trafiłem 13 czerwca 2026 roku z ul. Głowackiego wraz z moim rodzeństwem. Teraz czekam na rodzinę, z którą będę mógł przeżyć mnóstwo wspólnych przygód.Dopiero zaczynam swoją życiową drogę, dlatego potrzebuję opiekunów, którzy pomogą mi zrozumieć otaczający świat. Dzięki cierpliwości, odpowiedniej socjalizacji i wspólnej pracy wyrosnę na fantastycznego psiego przyjaciela. Słyszałem, że psie przedszkola są świetnym miejscem do nauki i zawierania pierwszych psich znajomości.Jestem zaszczepiony, odrobaczony i zaczipowany. W przyszłości gwarantujemy także bezpłatny zabieg kastracji w naszym schronisku.

About Skrzat

What life with Skrzat looks like

Skrzat is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Skrzat, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Skrzat?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Skrzat on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Skrzat if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Skrzat already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Skrzat isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Skrzat and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
