Smokey is a European domestic cat, approximately 10 years old, male, neutered. He was given up due to a move and lack of outdoor access. Smokey came to our farmhouse in Ostermundigen as a wild cat and lived with us for about 8 years. We estimated him to be around 2 years old at the time. He was very shy and easily startled by noise. Over time, he gained confidence and enjoys coming onto the lap to read or watch TV in the evenings. When we are at home, he likes to stay in eye contact or follow us into the garden. Due to his asthma, he is on the "comfortable side" and does not chase birds or mice. He has a sensitive character, does not bite or scratch. If he is frightened or uncertain, he flees. In May, we had to move from the farmhouse, where he enjoyed going out every morning. Unfortunately, we were unable to find an apartment with outdoor access for Smokey, which he greatly misses. With a lack of exercise, he has developed diabetes. (Diagnosed at Anikura, Bern Laupeneck) We are very reluctantly looking for freedom and loving care for Smokey. Rasse: Europäische Hauskatze Farbe: Schwarz Alter: ca. 10 jährig Geschlecht: Männlich Kastriert: Ja Verzichtgrund: Umzug, kein Auslauf mehr Eigenschaften: Smokey kam als wilde Katze zu unserem damaligen Bauernhaus in Ostermundigen zugelaufen, in dem rund 8 Jahre bei uns gewohnt hat. Wir schätzten ihn damals auf rund 2 jährig. Er war sehr schüchtern und ist gegen Lärm schreckhaft. Mit der Zeit gewann er zutrauen und kommt gerne am Abend auf den Schoss beim Lesen oder Fernseh schauen. Wenn wir zu Hause anwesend sind, bleibt er gerne auf Blickkontakt oder folgte uns in den Hausgarten. Wegen dem Asthma ist er auf «der gemütlichen Seite» und fängt auch keine Vögel oder Mäuse. Er hat einen feinfühligen Charakter, beisst und kratzt nicht. Ist er erschreckt oder unsicher flüchtet er. Im Mai mussten wir vom Bauernhaus wegziehen, in dem er jeden Morgen sehr gerne auf Tour ging. Es gelang uns leider nicht eine Wohnung zu finden in der Smokey Auslauf hat, den er sehr vermisst. Mit mangelnder Bewegung hat sich neu Diabetes entwickelt. (Diagnose bei Anikura, Bern Laupeneck) Sehr schweren Herzens wünschen und suchen wir für Smokey Freiheit und eine liebe Betreuung.
