Danny

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten · 6 months

Well… Danny has a confession to make. 🤭 When he first arrived with us, we were absolutely convinced he was a little girl, so naturally we named “her” Danielle. Danny was quite happy to let us believe that for a while before eventually revealing the truth… surprise! Danielle was actually a little boy all along! Safe to say he had the last laugh and has been keeping us on our toes ever since. Danny is a gorgeous little bundle of energy with a personality that’s growing bigger every single day. He’s curious about absolutely everything and believes no toy should be left unchased, no cardboard box unexplored and no room left unpatrolled. If there’s mischief to be found, Danny will probably find it… and look adorable while doing it. 🐾 Danny’s story began in the most heartbreaking way. He, along with his sisters Karen and Gosia, was discovered abandoned in a skip when they were just tiny kittens. Having had very little positive human interaction, the trio arrived with us as feral kittens who simply didn’t know that people could be trusted. Since then, they’ve each been on an incredible journey. Through patience, kindness and countless hours from their dedicated foster mum, Danny and his sisters have learnt that humans aren’t so scary after all. While Danny has come on leaps and bounds and is now a much friendlier, happier little lad, he can still be a little shy when faced with new people or unfamiliar situations. He just needs someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him settle at his own pace. Once Danny knows he’s safe, his sweet personality really begins to shine. He loves being busy, playing with toys and exploring every inch of his surroundings. And when all that adventuring finally catches up with him? That’s when you get the best part of Danny. A sleepy Danny loves nothing more than curling up for a cuddle, soaking up all the affection before recharging for his next adventure. 💙 You may already recognise Danny from our social media! Along with Karen and Gosia, he’s one of our famous Skip Litter, and they’ve stolen the hearts of many people following their journey. We’ve shared regular updates, photos and videos from the day they were rescued through to the confident kittens they are today, so if you’d like to see just how far they’ve come, head over to our Facebook or Instagram pages. Danny has already overcome so much in his short life. Now all that’s missing is a family of his own. Someone who’ll celebrate every little milestone, smile at his cheeky antics, cherish those sleepy cuddles and give him the happy ending he’s worked so hard for. ✨ Could you be the one to write Danny’s next chapter? Danny can be adopted with one of his siblings, or on his own.

About Danny

What life with Danny looks like

Danny is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at StraySafe Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Danny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Danny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. StraySafe Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Danny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Danny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — StraySafe Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Danny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Danny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with StraySafe Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Danny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
