Vår gulliga ”tant” Smulan kom till Sverige för åtta år sedan, 2018. Hon har sedan dess bott i samma hem och haft en bra tillvaro. Nu har man dock separerat och situationen för Smulan är desperat då ingen har möjlighet att ta hand om henne. Matte berättar så här:”Smulan är den snällaste, gosigaste hunden jag någonsin träffat. När hon blir osäker blir hon inte aggressiv utan passiv och visar magen. Hennes hundspråk är fantastiskt och hon är snäll med katter. Hon kan gå lös med mig och kommer på inkallning. Hon föredrar att vara ifred från andra hundar men kan bo med andra hundar med låg energinivå. Helst på landet, men utkanten av staden nära grönområden funkar också. Nya människor är lite läskiga först men hon går att muta med gos och klappar.” Vi söker nu för ljuvliga, vänliga Smulan ett underbart ”pensionärshem” där hon får bli bortskämd med allt vad det innebär. Livet ska vara lugnt och behagligt men innehålla roliga små promenader och lite lek och mycket mys hemmavid. Smulan har inte så stort intresse av andra hundar utan föredrar sina människor. Finns en hund i hemmet redan bör den vara lugn och respektfull. Katt ok. Inga småbarn då de kan stressa henne. Hemmet ska vara lugnt beläget och gärna ha en egen täppa där Smulan kan ligga när det är fint väder och studera moln. BakgrundSmulan anlände till hägnet mitt i sommarhettan, För hundar som lever på gatan är det då svårt att hitta vatten och många går under av törst. Smulan var bara fem månader gammal och gravt undernärd / uttorkad när hon i sista minuten hittades under några buskar nära en affär. Hon var helt utmattad och hängde som en liten trasa i armarna på sin räddare från SaveTheDogs. Genast hon kom till kliniken sattes ett livgivande dropp men man hade inte så höga förhoppningar då Smulan var i så dåligt skick. Efter några timmar började hon plötsligt blinka lite försynt. Hon var mycket svag och tillbringade den första veckan med att sova. När hon så småningom ”kommit på tassar” flyttades hon in i en grupp
