Snoopy

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

SNOOPY – A DOG WHO LOVES PEOPLE 🐾 Snoopy is one of those dogs that quickly shows you that he values human interaction. He seeks out their company, enjoys being engaged, and is friendly and uncomplicated. Overall, he seems like a dog you can easily share your life with. Snoopy is already a good walker on a leash and is easy to manage. He doesn't need to be the center of attention all the time and seems more balanced than hyperactive. At the same time, he's happy when someone interacts with him and gives him attention. We can also imagine him getting along well with children. With other dogs, he needs some time to get to know them and adjust to the situation. You should give him that time and let him approach at his own pace. Snoopy isn't a dog that pushes himself forward. He's a lovable, good-natured little dog who enjoys being with his humans and wants to please them. If you give him a bit of time, you'll get a loyal companion who integrates well into your daily life. Glück für Pfoten e.V. – The Way to a New Life – Tel. and WhatsApp: Email: Adoption fee: €490 incl. safety harness Since we work, we might not be able to get back to you until later. It's best to contact the above-mentioned adoption agent in writing (by email or WhatsApp) and ask for a callback (don't forget to include your phone number if necessary). Please be patient! Our dogs travel with Traces and are only placed in Germany (nationwide). If you're applying for a dog and live in a rented apartment, please obtain a written confirmation from your landlord that you're allowed to keep a (new) dog. We place dogs on the 2nd floor at most if there's no elevator to prevent health issues.

About Snoopy

What life with Snoopy looks like

Snoopy is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Glück für Pfoten e.V. in Dortmund.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoopy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoopy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glück für Pfoten e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoopy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoopy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glück für Pfoten e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snoopy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoopy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glück für Pfoten e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoopy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
