We wait for her, she gets up quickly, and then continues walking, repeating as needed. She was diagnosed with Distemper and Heartworm, but she is a fighter! Through isolation, intensive treatment and lots of love, she has recovered from Distemper and is nearing full recovery from Heartworm. Once her results are clear, she will be ready to be prepared for travel. As a result of Distemper, Sofi has some residual neurological twitching, mostly in her legs, though it can occasionally affect her whole body. These movements have become less frequent and less severe over time and she continues vet-supervised therapy. Despite this, Sofi walks well, runs, plays and sleeps peacefully. She is happy, content and full of life.
