Sole Riesenschnauzer

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

Sole was abandoned as a puppy in Seville and came to the PROA animal shelter at just four months old. From the very first moment, she charmed all the shelter workers with her somewhat shy but also cheerful nature. The pretty black puppy understands dog language perfectly and loves to play and romp with other dogs. She shows herself to be respectful of older, experienced dogs and wants to learn from them. Sole loves water and enjoys a bath in the mini pool very much. On the walks that Toni takes her on, she still shows some uncertainties. She seems not to have known much in her first four months of life. Everything is new and still a bit frightening for her. Sole orients herself on the walks at Toni's male dog Eren and is already making progress. Sole still has a lot to learn, her humans need patience and empathy to bring her up to speed at her own pace, everything that dog life today entails. We don't see Sole in the city, rather rural and natural. We would be very happy if Sole could come to Germany with our upcoming transport in November 2026, so that she can learn everything a young, agile dog needs to know and be able to do in time. Born 01.05.2026, size currently approx. 46 cm (as of the end of September 2026, still growing), weight currently approx. 15 kg (as of the end of September 2026), character: friendly, somewhat uncertain, playful, Compatible with conspecifics: yes, cat-friendly: possible with appropriate training, at the shelter since September 2026 Sole travels with a microchip, vaccinated, tested for all Mediterranean diseases, a blood test of the organ values is also carried out before departure. Sole is placed with a safety harness, a GPS tracker is mandatory. Mail:

Mail:

About Sole Riesenschnauzer

What life with Sole Riesenschnauzer looks like

Sole Riesenschnauzer is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at TS Fellwechsel e.V. in Varel /nur Vereinssitz, kein Tierheim vor Ort.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sole Riesenschnauzer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sole Riesenschnauzer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TS Fellwechsel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sole Riesenschnauzer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sole Riesenschnauzer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TS Fellwechsel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sole Riesenschnauzer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sole Riesenschnauzer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TS Fellwechsel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sole Riesenschnauzer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
