Somba is a very sensitive and character-strong male dog who forms an extremely close bond with a single primary caregiver. Once he has found his "own" person, he protects them with great loyalty and seriousness. In situations where he perceives his owner as being threatened, it can also happen that Somba steps forward and snaps. He clearly shows that he makes decisions and likes to be in charge, determining who the boss is. Somba is not a dog for beginners. Due to his pronounced possessive and protective behavior, cooperation with an experienced dog trainer is strongly recommended to give him security, clear structures, and fair leadership. If Somba knows and trusts his person, he shows a completely different side: then he is an absolute cuddle bear, seeks closeness, enjoys every pat, and is very attentive and clingy to his person. He loves going for walks together, playing small games, and the quiet moments where he just wants to be there. With other dogs, Somba generally gets along, but it is always crucial that he is led by his person. For him, we are looking for a dog-experienced owner without children who gives him time, patience, and consistent leadership and enjoys working with a sensitive but strong-charactered dog. Whoever understands Somba and gives him security, gets an incredibly loyal, cuddly, and faithful companion by his side. This animal has a history of biting.

Somba ist ein sehr sensibler und charakterstarker Rüde, der sich extrem eng an eine einzige Bezugsperson bindet. Hat er einmal „seinen“ Menschen gefunden, beschützt er ihn mit großer Loyalität und Ernsthaftigkeit. In Situationen, in denen er seinen Besitzer bedroht sieht, kann es auch vorkommen, dass Somba nach vorne geht und schnappt. Er zeigt dabei klar, dass er Entscheidungen trifft und gern selbst bestimmt, wer der Chef ist. Somba ist kein Hund für Anfänger. Aufgrund seines ausgeprägten Besitz- und Schutzverhaltens ist die Zusammenarbeit mit einem erfahrenen Hundetrainer dringend empfohlen, um ihm Sicherheit, klare Strukturen und eine faire Führung zu geben. Kennt und vertraut Somba seinem Menschen, zeigt er eine ganz andere Seite: Dann ist er ein absoluter Kuschelbär, sucht Nähe, genießt jede Streicheleinheit und ist seinem Menschen gegenüber sehr zugewandt und anhänglich. Er liebt gemeinsame Spaziergänge, kleine Spieleinheiten und die ruhigen Momente, in denen er einfach nur dabei sein darf.
