✨ Adopting Sonic ✨ Date of birth: 2023 ⚕️ Spayed / Vaccinated against Myxomatosis, VHD1 and VHD2 ✨ Sonic—a lovable rabbit who knows exactly what he wants! ✨ Sonic is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate little rabbit. He’s a bit of a grumpy guy—sometimes he’ll grumble, but it never lasts long... because deep down, cuddles and affection are just the best! He simply likes being asked for permission before cuddling, so he can fully enjoy each moment to the fullest. A little rabbit with a strong personality, but above all, lots of tenderness to give! ✨ His favorite pastimes: • Exploring his space • Playing in his tunnel • Hiding in his boxes when he wants some quiet time ☘️ Litter training: Sonic is litter-trained and uses his litter box without any issues. However, he loves it when the litter box is kept clean and tidy... otherwise, he’ll let you know by leaving a few droppings here and there! ☘️ Meals: Sonic now enjoys all kinds of vegetables, which he devours with great appetite. He’s a real little gourmet! What he likes less: Sonic doesn’t seem to appreciate soft cushions (comfort is overrated!), loud noises like vacuum cleaners, or cats coming into his space. • Available for adoption anywhere in France, provided that follow-up care is possible. To adopt, we don’t ask you to travel—we can arrange carpooling through the association. Adoption fee: €120 Sonic is currently located in department 14. For any inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact us via message or directly by email. Link to complete an adoption application: [Insert link here] Adopting a rabbit is a long-term commitment that comes with personal and financial responsibilities. You’re taking on responsibility for a living being with feelings—not an object that you can discard at the first sign of trouble. This should be a carefully considered decision. All photos and videos of Sonic are available in his album.

About Sonic

What life with Sonic looks like

Sonic is a small young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Ani-Nounou in ani nounou.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sonic, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sonic?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ani-Nounou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sonic on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sonic if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ani-Nounou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sonic already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sonic isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ani-Nounou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sonic and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
