Adorable black male, 4 years old. Sponsor home needed. Sooty came to us as a stray in April, with a long term chest infection. He has been with our warden, Andrea, since then, receiving lots of love and tlc. He’s a gorgeous, super friendly and confident boy, loved by all who meet him. The staff at our vets all adore him too! Andrea soon discovered that Sooty loves dogs as well as people - he is completely comfortable with her dog Fergus. See video below from May, when he was still being treated for the chest infection. He also gets on with other cat friendly cats. Unfortunately, poor Sooty has also turned out to have Feline Calicivirus. He recently needed to have 9 teeth out, which should help stop his gums getting so sore. He will need an indoor home on his own or with another calici cat. Sooty may also have asthma and will be starting with an inhaler soon, as the steroids he is on at the moment, are not great long term. PCL is happy to work with his new owner re the asthma. As a sponsor cat, Sooty’s vet bills for the above conditions will be paid for by the charity, as well as relevant medications.
