Spooks

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female

As a stray we do not know much about her life before us, however since being with in our care and living with one of our amazing fosterers she has been thriving and showing us all aspects of her personality. Although she started off a little wary, it wasn’t long before Spooks was coming out to greet her fosterer, climbing on their laps whilst purring and even nuzzling their face. Spooks shows her playful nature during the evenings where she bounds around with plenty of energy. One of her favourite toys is a little fish on a string. Other top activities for Spooks include people and nature watching from the best spot on the windowsill and chilling on her fosterers lap to watch some TV. Spooks has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming. Spooks has a sweet nature and should be fine to live with another cat or a cat-friendly dog with gradual introductions.

About Spooks

What life with Spooks looks like

Spooks is a small adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Wood Green in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Spooks, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Spooks?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wood Green handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Spooks on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Spooks if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Wood Green will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Spooks already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Spooks isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wood Green early rather than rehoming privately; they know Spooks and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
