Spoti (Споті)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast! Looking for a family! Another story that began as painfully as countless others. Industrial zone, garages, a car arrived and almost immediately left. She remained between the rows, a confused, frightened dog pressing herself against the garage wall as if trying to become invisible. Local guard dogs did not accept their new "neighbor," and Spoti found herself alone with fear and danger. That's how her story began. Spoti is a very delicate and sensitive girl. She finely perceives people, atmosphere, and changes around her. She needs time to believe that there will be no more pain nearby. Now, Spoti is going through socialization and adaptation, learning to trust and gradually opening her kind heart. She is trying very hard. But, unfortunately, an animal shelter is not the place where one can fully heal the soul. At home, with a loving human, this process would have happened much faster. Spoti desperately needs a family—patient, calm, caring. People who are not intimidated by her caution will give her time and become her new, happy story. Because every dog deserves a home, not an abandoned garage. And Spoti, especially. Conditional date of birth: July 3, 2023. Medium size. Red coat color. Vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, has a veterinary passport.

About Spoti (Споті)

What life with Spoti (Споті) looks like

Spoti (Споті) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

Frequently asked

Adopting Spoti (Споті), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Spoti (Споті)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Spoti (Споті) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Spoti (Споті) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Spoti (Споті) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Spoti (Споті) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast early rather than rehoming privately; they know Spoti (Споті) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
