Stacey & Hetti

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Stacey and Hetti Last summer, Hetti arrived with her five kittens and was already pregnant again. She went on to have another litter here at the rescue, and her kittens, having grown up around people, were soon chosen by their forever families. But Stacey’s story was a little different. Stacey grew up outside with her mummy and the four siblings she arrived with, and was always a little more nervous around people than the others. Her siblings were soon chosen by their forever families, but Stacey was the last one left waiting alongside her mummy. Now, over a year later, she and Hetti are still waiting for someone to see just how special they are. Stacey is inquisitive but apprehensive and needs time to feel comfortable around people. Hetti is much more independent and isn’t a girl who seeks out lots of fuss. What they do have is each other, and their bond is incredibly special. They love playing together, curling up together and simply enjoying each other’s company. ❤️ They also love the simple things, their cat tree, catnip and, of course, their favourite chicken and tuna treats! 🐟🍗 These girls are looking for a quiet, patient and understanding home where they can take their time, have their own space and simply be themselves. Most importantly, they need a family who will love them for who they are and give them the chance to feel safe and truly at home. 🏡 Love doesn’t always look like a cat sitting on your lap or asking to be stroked. Stacey and Hetti deserve a family who understands that and will love them exactly as they are. They have never had a family of their own, and we would love for that to finally change. They deserve to know what it feels like to have a home, feel safe and truly belong. 🏡💗 Our girls must be rehomed together to a strictly indoor-only home. Could you be the family Stacey and Hetti have been waiting over a year for? 🐾❤️

About Stacey & Hetti

What life with Stacey & Hetti looks like

Stacey & Hetti is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Stacey & Hetti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stacey & Hetti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stacey & Hetti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stacey & Hetti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stacey & Hetti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stacey & Hetti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stacey & Hetti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
