Stanislaus kam als Fundhund stark abgemagert und in schlechtem Allgemeinzustand zu uns. Mittlerweile ist daraus längst ein stattlicher Kerl geworden – nur auf sein eigenes Zuhause wartet Stani nun bereits seit rund zehn Jahren. Fast sein gesamtes bisheriges Leben hat er damit im Tierheim verbracht. Seinen vertrauten Bezugspersonen gegenüber ist Stani freundlich, anhänglich und sehr liebesbedürftig. Draußen zeigt er sich meist vergleichsweise unkompliziert und kann bei Spaziergängen auch ohne Beißkorb geführt werden. Dieser Eindruck darf jedoch nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass der Alltag mit ihm Erfahrung, Geduld und gutes Management verlangt. Neue Menschen und ungewohnte Situationen stressen ihn stark, weshalb er ausreichend Zeit, klare Abläufe und eine behutsame Eingewöhnung benötigt. Eine weitere Herausforderung ist seine Stubenreinheit. Diese ist auch nach all den Jahren nicht zuverlässig gegeben und wird vermutlich ebenso im neuen Zuhause ein Thema bleiben. Seine zukünftigen Halter müssen bereit sein, damit verständnisvoll und pragmatisch umzugehen. Mit anderen Hunden ist Stani nur bedingt verträglich, Katzen und Kleintiere kommen als Mitbewohner nicht infrage. Auch Kinder sollten nicht im neuen Zuhause leben. Für ihn suchen wir einen ruhigen Einzelplatz bei sehr hunde- und rasseerfahrenen Menschen, die seine schwierigen Seiten realistisch einschätzen und ihm dennoch die Chance geben, seinen Lebensabend erstmals in einem eigenen Zuhause zu verbringen.
