adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Starlight has found her home! Her story: This is Starlight – a name that becomes a program when seen! With her large, dark eyeballs, she looks straight into your heart and eagerly waits to discover the world by her new people's side. Starlight's story began on a dark evening by the roadside, where she was found together with her siblings. Fortunately, they were discovered and saved in time, so the little mouse is now ready for her very own happy ending. Starlight is a real gem: She is puppy-type curious, friendly from the ground up, and meets her environment with charming openness. At her current approximate 3 kg, she is still a small lightweight, but is expected to grow into a great medium-sized female dog. When she's not playing with her fellow animals – with whom she gets along just fine – she savors every petting session. Whether she likes cats, we don't know. For all who want to win her heart in a storm: With a yummy snack, you're at the right address with this little gourmet! Of course, as a young female dog, Starlight still brings a lot of fresh wind. She is like an uncharted page waiting to be filled with colorful stories. In the puppy stage, that means hitting the books together: walking on a leash, potty training, and also learning to stay alone are still new to her and require patience and training. When puberty is soon knocking at the door, Starlight will likely have a few tricks up her sleeve and test her limits. But with a portion of humor, consistency, and lots of love, this wild phase can be mastered so that she can develop into a wonderful companion. Starlight travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to her new home, together with her EU pet passport. Who will gift this charming little dog girl a dog bed for life and show her how wonderful dog life can be? Many thanks to Claudia and Jörg B.! You named Starlight and thus opened the way to her happy future. As of: 16.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 16.12.2025

About Starlight

What life with Starlight looks like

Starlight is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Starlight, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Starlight?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Starlight on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Starlight if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Starlight already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Starlight isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Starlight and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
