Steef is his name, black and white is his coat color. He ended up in our care as a stray. His birthdate is estimated to be July 3, 2022. Steef has a condition called ataxia. It is a neurological symptom that affects coordination and balance, such as trembling. Our staff will brief and inform his new owner(s) about this. Because we also work for Steef to find a golden basket in a forever home. Predictability and a calm approach are pleasant for him. His new home is mainly quiet and there are one or two adult residents. No cage mates or other animals live there. In his need to cuddle, he has his own way. With love bites and headbutts, he rewards his cuddler. Unexpected movements sometimes throw him off balance, as does his own enthusiasm. If you remain calm, he recovers quickly. Give him control and his own pace. For his safety, we place Steef as an indoor cat. Steef's menu consists of kibble and daily wet food. Both are hypoallergenic. The wet food from the brand Kattovit is his favorite. Steef needs ceramic eating and drinking bowls, definitely not plastic or metal ones. Elevated bowls are ideal for him. A litter box with a low step will make his life easier. Play mice/small prey toys make him relax and play. Steef is zijn naam, zwart-wit is zijn vachtkleur. Hij is als zwerver bij ons in de opvang terecht gekomen. Zijn geboortedatum wordt geschat op 3 juli 2022. Steef heeft een aandoening die ataxie wordt genoemd. Het is een neurologisch symptoom dat invloed heeft op coördinatie en evenwicht zoals trillen. Onze medewerkers zullen zijn nieuwe baasje(s) hierover bijpraten en informeren. Want ook voor Steef zetten wij ons in voor het zoeken van een gouden mandje in een forever home. Voorspelbaarheid en een kalme benadering zijn voor hem prettig. Zijn nieuwe huisje is vooral rustig en er zijn één à twee volwassen bewoners. Soortgenoten en andere dieren wonen er ook niet. In zijn behoefte om te knuffelen heeft hij zo zijn eigen manier. Met liefdesbeetjes en kopstootjes beloont hij zijn knuffelaar. Onverwachte bewegingen brengen hem wel eens uit balans, zo ook zijn eigen enthousiasme. Als men kalm blijft herstelt hij zich snel. Geef hem de controle en zijn eigen tempo. Voor zijn veiligheid plaatsen we Steef als binnenkat. Het menu van Steef bestaat uit brokjes en dagelijks natvoer. Beide zijn hypoallergeen. Het natvoer van het merk Kattovit is zijn favoriet. Steef heeft keramieken eet- en drinkbakjes nodig, beslist géén exemplaren van plastic of metaal. Verhoogde bakjes zijn ideaal voor hem. Een kattenbak met een lage opstaprand zal zijn leven makkelijker maken. Speelmuisjes/kleine prooi speeltjes doen hem ontspannen en spelen. Vanuit schuilplekjes, als het te spannend wordt, kan hij zich herstellen en alles observeren om het vertrouwen op te bouwen met zijn personeel.
