Stella

Mixed Breed · Female

Size: At current size, an assessment of her final size cannot yet be made. Location: Romania Stella is a sweet puppy girl who is a friendly little dog, but still needs some time to get used to the big world. The leash especially makes her nervous – she probably hasn’t encountered one before or had bad experiences with it. 😔 Despite her uncertainty, Stella is gentle, loving, and people-friendly. She longs for closeness but hasn’t quite figured out how to handle new things. With patience, gentle guidance, and loving support, she will learn step by step what trust means – and that no one will harm her anymore. 💛 Stella is looking for a loving home or an experienced foster home that will give her security and help her find her footing – at her own pace, with patience, and from the heart. 🐕 Who will give Stella the chance to become brave? Stella is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, not yet neutered, and has been checked by a veterinarian, and is in possession of a Eu-Home Animal Passport. All our dogs travel with official trace papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base our decision solely on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of intentions and knowledge of the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by animal welfare workers at the intake stations or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions at the intake stations or foster homes.

About Stella

What life with Stella looks like

Stella is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
