adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Strolchi has found a home! His story: Strolchi was found with his siblings Kody and Nio: Abandoned behind a trash can – tiny, vulnerable, and without any help. A friend of an animal rescuer discovered the little group by chance on a drive near the city of Medias, and brought the puppies to the Cluj clinic immediately. Unfortunately, one of the siblings was too late for any help – but Strolchi made it and now lives in a loving foster home in Romania. With his fluffy black-and-white fur, his trusting little eyes, and his charming gaze, Strolchi immediately catches the eye. He is the plush bear of the siblings – simply irresistible. Strolchi shows typical puppy behavior, being playful, friendly, and people-oriented. He loves to snuggle and explore his little world curiously. So far, he has been compatible with other dogs. Compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. He is still unfamiliar with life in a home – many things are therefore completely new to him. House training, leash walking, car rides, loud noises, or even being left alone – all of this must be learned step by step. With loving guidance, patience, clear structure, and positive reinforcement, Strolchi will surely quickly understand what a family dog needs to know. In a few months, Strolchi will enter puberty – an important but also challenging time. During this phase, he will begin to test boundaries, question himself and his environment. He might forget what he has learned, become suddenly shy or stubborn – all of this is completely normal. For this time, we are looking for people who are ready to guide him calmly, consistently, and understandingly through this phase and not to doubt him when things don’t go perfectly. Whoever guides Strolchi with patience, structure, and loving consequence through this exciting time will be rewarded with a wonderful dog – full of trust, joy in life, and deep bonding. We wish for Strolchi people who know that a puppy is not just cute but also work. People who are ready to give him security, grow with him, support his growth, and go through life with him. A visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly be helpful to support him best. Strolchi is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He brings an EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive foster home experience. Even a foster home would make the little man very happy. Who will give this little fluff a real home – with love, trust, and lots of snuggling time? Many thanks to Lisa! You gave Strolchi his name! Date: 04.05.

Vielen Dank an Lisa! Du hast Strolchi seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 04.05.2025

About Strolchi

What life with Strolchi looks like

Strolchi is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Strolchi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Strolchi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Strolchi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Strolchi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Strolchi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Strolchi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Strolchi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
