Adopt SWEET MIMI

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Estimated birth date: January 2026 Brief info: friendly, attentive, cuddly, playful, balanced, male dogs+, female dogs+, cats+ The ones born in January 2026, the littermates SWEET MIMI and Sweet Maya, turned up at a riding stable in March 2026. They were still far too small to be without their mother, and it’s presumed that the owner of the female dog had abandoned the unwanted puppies somewhere, leaving them to their fate. But it surely wouldn’t have ended well if the puppy babies hadn’t ended up at this stable, where they were met by animal friends. One of the riders was willing to take the two puppy girls in for a while, and another knew the shelter manager Kata personally, as she regularly takes one of the shelter dogs out. And so it was agreed that the little puppies would have the chance to find a wonderful home through Kata, until they overcome their bad start in life. The two puppy sisters are outgoing, friendly, and attentive puppy children. They are both relatively calm and balanced for their age. Since the parentage is unknown, their final size cannot be predicted, but we suspect they will be rather large female dogs, as a good portion of herder dog is in them. For these two charming puppy children, we are now looking for enthusiastic people with solid dog experience who are willing to take on the adventure of "puppy" – with everything that comes with it: playing, snuggling, toiling, but of course also a consistent and loving upbringing. One should be aware of the challenges of the suspected breed and know how to handle them. Please also keep in mind that a puppy during the first months is a full-time job and requires 24-hour care. This must be guaranteed in any potential adoption. SWEET MIMI will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and with an EU pet passport for her new home. Has the sweet puppy girl won your heart? Then we look forward to your message!

About SWEET MIMI

What life with SWEET MIMI looks like

SWEET MIMI is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenretter Ungarn in Pfotenretter.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting SWEET MIMI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SWEET MIMI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenretter Ungarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SWEET MIMI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SWEET MIMI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenretter Ungarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is SWEET MIMI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SWEET MIMI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenretter Ungarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know SWEET MIMI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
