Sweety 79418 Schliengen

Mixed Breed · Male

Final size: medium adult size Location: 79418 Schliengen 🐾 Sweety – a gentle soul seeking her forever home 🐾 Our dear Sweety was able to make the journey to Germany and now lives in a foster home, where she can slowly learn what it means to live in safety and security. ❤️🏡 Her foster mother describes her as a gentle, loving and sensitive little dog who explores the world with cautious steps. Sweety is curious and watches her surroundings attentively. Once she has gained trust, she greatly enjoys being petted, loves to cuddle and is happy about every loving touch. 🥰💕 But the path to that point takes time and a great deal of understanding. Sweety is at first very reserved and fearful around people. In the beginning she does not want to make direct contact and prefers to observe from a safe distance. During her time in foster care, other particularities have emerged that must absolutely be taken into account when searching for her suitable home. 💗 Sweety has great difficulty with men. She shows this uncertainty toward male children as well. For this reason she needs people who take her fears seriously, do not pressure her, and give her the opportunity to build trust at her own pace. A calm, understanding home without male caregivers would be especially important for her. With Sweety, sympathy also determines how she gets along with other dogs. Not every dog is pleasant to her, so encounters should be arranged carefully. 🐕 Her foster home has also found older injuries on her body. We suspect they may be bite wounds from other dogs. Whether this suspicion is correct and what experiences Sweety had to endure in her past, unfortunately we do not know exactly. It is quite possible, however, that her experiences contributed to her still reacting so insecurely to her environment today. 💔 During a visit to a dog play group, it became clear how great her fear still is in certain situations. Instead of playing carefree with the other dogs, Sweety appeared very frightened and fled into a corner where she sought protection. This situation showed that at present she does not need commotion or forced contact with unfamiliar dogs, but above all safety, calm, and people who respect her limits. ❤️‍🩹 The many stimuli of everyday life – road traffic 🚗, unfamiliar dogs 🐕, loud noises 🔊 or hectic movements – can still unsettle her. With a great deal of patience, love and understanding, she may learn step by step that she is safe in her new life. Sweety is not a dog for beginners! She is looking for experienced, patient dog people who understand fearful dogs and are willing to accompany her on her path without pressure. People who do not expect her to be open and carefree right away, but who also rejoice in the smallest progress. 🌸🐾 Once Sweety has gained trust, she shows her wonderful nature: she is friendly, playful, lively, and enjoys exploring her surroundings. ✨ It is a great joy to see how, step by step, she becomes braver and begins to enjoy life. For Sweety we wish for a quiet home with sensitive people who give her the time she needs. A home where she does not have to function, but can simply arrive. A home without pressure, full of understanding, love and security. 🏡💗 Anyone who gives this special female dog a chance should know that the shared path may require patience. But perhaps one day Sweety will come to know that people do not wish her any harm, and that she has finally arrived. ❤️ Would you like to show Sweety how beautiful a sheltered dog's life can be? Then she looks forward to getting to know you. Sweety is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and has had a veterinary check-up, and she has an EU pet passport. All of our dogs travel to Germany with official TRACES papers and a Paragraph 11 permit. Our dogs are additionally tested with a rapid test for Mediterranean diseases. The adoption fee is 550€ plus 30€ for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: When we assign our dogs to particular breeds, we base this solely on outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made to the best of the association's and the participating veterinarians' knowledge and conscience. Nevertheless, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), since reliable determination of that would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by the animal welfare workers on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments refer exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the furry friend, after a successful

About Sweety 79418 Schliengen

What life with Sweety 79418 Schliengen looks like

Sweety 79418 Schliengen is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sweety 79418 Schliengen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sweety 79418 Schliengen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sweety 79418 Schliengen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sweety 79418 Schliengen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Sweety 79418 Schliengen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sweety 79418 Schliengen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sweety 79418 Schliengen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
